Kitchen cabinet painting in Denver

“My kitchen looks old, but new cabinets cost too much.”

If your cabinets are in good shape, you may not need new ones. Painting them can make your kitchen feel new for much less money.

Is painting right for you?

When painting works, and when it doesn’t.

Painting works well when your cabinets are solid. It can’t fix broken cabinets, water damage or a kitchen layout you don’t like.

If that sounds like your kitchen, new cabinets may be the better choice. We’ll tell you if that’s the case.

Painting is a good fit if

  • The doors open and close fine
  • The cabinets are solid, with no water damage
  • You like the layout, just not the look
  • You don’t want to lose your kitchen for weeks
Your choices

What you can do.

Option A

Paint the cabinets

A new look in about 3 to 4 days. You don’t even have to empty them.

Option B

Paint and add new handles

New knobs and pulls make a big change for a small cost.

Option C

Get new cabinets

Makes sense if the cabinets are damaged or you want a new layout. It costs more and takes longer.

Questions to ask any painter.

  1. 1
What paint will you use, and will it hold up?

People touch cabinets every day. The paint needs to be tough.

  2. 2
Do you spray the doors or brush them?

    Spraying gives the smoothest look.

  3. 3
How will you get paint to stick to shiny cabinets?

Listen for sanding and primer. Primer is a first coat that helps paint stick.

If you want our help

How we’d do it.

First we lightly sand. Then we add primer, a first coat that helps paint stick. We spray two coats on the doors and paint the frames by hand. We use a tough Sherwin-Williams paint made for heavy use.

Most kitchens take 3 to 4 days. We can also make them look aged or rustic, or add a clear top coat.

  • No money down
  • Your price won’t go up
  • 5-year warranty
  • Safe with old lead paint
